The borrower, through separate special purpose vehicles, is a 10% limited partner and the general partner who is entitled to receive a 25% sponsor promotion after its limited partners receive an annual preferential return of 9%.
Based on the appraised value, the borrower would receive nearly $2.5 million.
Even if the borrower holds a significant amount of equity in a syndication that owns a stabilized, income-generating apartment building, its stake is illiquid.
