The specifications and design renderings of the OnePlus Nord N20 5G appear to have leaked online, suggesting that the brand’s next phone could be a flat follow-up to the affordable OnePlus Nord N10 5G (pictured).
Well-known tipster OnLeaks has provided renders indicating an interesting overhaul for the upcoming cheap OnePlus phone. As you can see, it seems to have adopted the flat-edged look of the iPhone 13.
It wouldn’t be the first time OnePlus has adopted such a design. The oft-forgotten OnePlus X from 2015 arrived with a sleek, flat look.
The leaker also provided some initial details on the specifications of the OnePlus Nord N20 5G. These include a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a built-in fingerprint sensor, as well as relatively compact dimensions of 159.8 x 73.1 x 7.7mm.
The phone is claimed to be powered by the new Snapdragon 695 5G processor, which was only unveiled at the end of October.
You can see that there is a triple camera system on the back of the phone. Apparently it will be a 48 MP wide sensor and two 2 MP support sensors of an unspecified nature. There will also be a 16-megapixel front camera.
An interesting point to note is that there is a small chance that these renderings are for the OnePlus Nord CE2 5G rather than the OnePlus Nord N20 5G. It seems more likely to be the latter, however.
The OnePlus Nord N10 5G was launched in November 2020, so a successor is expected. OnePlus has chosen not to launch any major new handsets at the end of 2021, the playful reskin that is the OnePlus Nord 2 Pac-Man edition being the only offering from the brand.
